National Research Award ‘Ramón Menéndez Pidal’ 2025

The Editorial board of Trabajos de Prehistoria would like to share with its readers the satisfaction for the recognition that Dr. Ignacio de la Torre Sainz, Research Professor of the Institute of History, CSIC and member of the journal's Assistant Team (2011-2014) and the Editorial Team since 2015, has deserved. The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has awarded Dr. Ignacio de la Torre Sainz the National Research Prize 'Ramón Menéndez Pidal' 2025, in the area of Humanities, for his career and contribution to the study of human origins and the redefinition of key concepts in Palaeolithic archaeology. In particular, those related to primate archaeology, the study of Neanderthals, and the identification of the oldest human tools. Warmest congratulations.
