2025 Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts

The Editorial board of Trabajos de Prehistoria would like to share with its readers the satisfaction for the recognition that Dr. Teresa Chapa Brunet, Professor Emeritus of Prehistory at the Complutense University of Madrid and member of the journal's Advisory Board (1986–1996) and Editorial Board (1997–2022), has deserved.

Dr. Teresa Chapa Brunet has been awarded the 2025 Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts by the Ministry of Culture for her career and contribution to the study of Iberian culture, with research focused on sculpture, iconography, funerary archaeology and landscape archaeology. Her contributions to research and teaching have been formally acknowledged, and she is recognised for her ability to combine academic rigour with heritage management and the dissemination of archaeological knowledge.
