New C-14 date for Neolithic period in Murcia: the Abrigos del Pozo (Calasparra)

The aim of this paper is to publish the C-14 date obtained for the neolithic site of Abrigos del Pozo (Calasparra), which together with the known dates of Abrigo Grande II Barranco de los Grajos (Cieza), comprise the only dates for the Neolithic period in Murcia. This cave site also suggests the possible relationships between schematic art and the archaeological deposit, with a lengthy occupation through different cultural phases.
