Abstract

It is generally assumed that ancient Iberian funerary sculpture was actively destroyed as a consequence of social change. I propose in this paper that continuity must be taken into account, and that many Iberian monuments could have undergone a process of abandonment and ruin, and not so much a violent destruction.
