Palaeoethnobotanical remains are reviewed from 87 sites from the Palaeolithic to the Medieval period in the regions of Andalucía, Castilla-La Mancha, Murcia and Valencia. The plant remains (seeds, fruits, and fibres) belong to 102 taxa falling within ten major ethnobotanical categories: cereals, pulses, edible fruits, edible underground tubers, oil plants, fibre plants, basketry, weeds, and wild plants (medicinal, dye, etc.).
