The journal remains in the first quartile of this international ranking, now within its top 10. Scimago is based on Scopus data, using citations received in 2024 for articles published within the previous three years.

At an international level, it remains in the first quartile of the Archaeology category according to the Journal Citation Indicator (Web of Science), CiteScore (Scopus) and Scimago Journal Rank. At a national level, it is also at the top of the rankings elaborated by the Dialnet Foundation and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology [FECYT].
