The autor discusses the material evidence from the Coval den Pep Rave, helped by the results of his 1980 rescue excavation. This evidence demonstrates the presence of two prehistoric cultural phases. The first one, Chalcolithic, show evidence for occupation possibly dated before the difussion of beaker wares in the island. The second one relates to a talaiotic burial-site of the later Bronze Age that shows sorne survival of Middle Bronze Age Balearic funerary rituals into latter periods.
