Its situation, its exclusively arms nature and its internal coherence make it possible to speak of a ritual or votive concealment. Even though it is located in an area with so far not many metal finds, it used to be a very densely populated area where we know about the existence of settlements, necropolis and funeral stelae with the same chronology as the hoard.
